About

I’m Judith, founder of Roca Studio. A design studio grounded in the belief that learning spaces shape how children learn.

I believe deeply in education as a tool for building a fair, democratic, and sustainable society.

That belief led me to graduate in Childhood and Primary Education and work as a teacher, where I experienced firsthand how learning environments shape children’s opportunities and experiences.

At the same time, interior design has always been a strong passion of mine. Designing spaces where people feel better, supported, and aligned with their goals and lifestyles. That’s why I also graduated in Interior Design. Through this journey, I realised that space is not just about visual beauty, but about how it speaks to our senses and our brains. Space shapes how we feel, how alert we are to learn, how open we are to connect with others, and how curious we feel to inquire. With a well-designed environment, we are already one step closer to meaningful education.

This led me to dive into neurodesign, applying neuroscience and psychological insights to create spaces where the brain feels connected, calm, and stimulated in the right ways.

Today, I’m on a mission to help schools, educators, and families create environments where children’s well-being is a priority. Spaces where they feel safe, connected, and ready to thrive and learn.

Designing for the senses.

A space is not only seen, but felt. Light, sound, texture, and layout all influence how we respond to an environment.

These elements directly affect the nervous system, either activating stress or supporting a calm, focused state.

With a Biophilic mindset.

Bophilia, our natural connection to living systems, guides us to design with nature in mind.

Research shows that natural elements like daylight and greenery can increase well-being by up to 15%, boost creativity, and improve productivity.
